This is where you drive on your way to us - National tourist road Valdresflya - one of 18 particularly scenic and tourist friendly highways in Norway. You are on the highest point on 1389 masl and overlook Jotunheimen National Park with its high peaks and clear blue lakes. Just 30 minutes driving left to your room at Hindsæter!
Summer/ autumn: Take E16 from Oslo (direction Fagernes) for the shortest way by car and continue over Valdresflya. The journey takes about 4 h and is a fantastic experience by itself.
Winter: From about mid December to the beginning of April the mountain road over Valdresflya is closed. During this period you will find your way to us along E6 towards Trondheim, then from Sjoa take the road 257 direction Randsverk before you turn south towards Hindsæter.
Trains and express busses run to Otta, 60 km from Hindsæter. From there you can take a taxi, a local bus (July & August) or we can pick you up by the hotel bus (only winter season between 1st of February and Easter).
